Focus Mitt Training preparation for any sport? The following is a brief video clip of a drill we LOVE for coaching athletic development, power, and conditioning.  The focus mitts are a tremendously effective and fun drill that drive home the necessity of balance, footwork, leverage, and reactive speed in any ground based sport.  To quote our old friend Tommy Brooks, veteran boxing trainer, “all sports are the same”.  Part 1 deals with the proper stance/set-up which enhances what we call “athletic intelligence”.  Having the proper stance in any sport allows for optimum functional movement in any direction and the ability to make a play from that stance.
