Warren has owned and operated sports medicine/sports training facilities for over 20 years. He founded Rehab Plus Phoenix in 1985. Since its inception, Rehab Plus Phoenix has been nationally recognized for its successful physical therapy operations as well as its ability to attract a large population of professional, collegiate and Olympic athletes. Prior to his career in sports medicine, Warren coached football at the college and professional levels. He was also a strength and conditioning coach at the college and professional levels.

Warren earned his Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Southern Illinois University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as a member of the American Academy of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and the American Medical and Fitness Association. He is a past Special Advisor to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness.

Warren is credited with starting the first NFL Combine training program in 1985 and has continued to operate these camps every year since. In that time he has worked with over 500 players that were drafted in the NFL, including 41 first round draft picks. In addition to working daily in the clinic with patients, Warren also runs speed and conditioning camps for the elite athlete population as well as a number of sports conditioning programs geared for the high school athlete.

Mitch Bruning

Mitch received his Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University and his Masters of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University. Mitch has worked in outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy for 20 years. Throughout the course of his career he has received extensive training and continuing education in manual therapy and orthopedic exercise prescription. Mitch has particular interest and education in the construction of custom foot orthotics.

Mitch is an avid runner and hiker and has given numerous talks to running clubs and organizations regarding injury prevention, proper footwear, and running mechanics. Mitch is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Arizona Physical Therapy Association. In Mitch’s 18-year career, he has worked with numerous high school, collegiate, and professional athletes including members of Arizona State University, the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Steve Thomas

Steve received both his Bachelor of Health Science as well as his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Touro School of Health Science in New York where he graduated with honors.  Steve has extensive experience in the out-patient orthopedic and rehabilitation hospital setting.  Before joining Rehab Plus Phoenix, Steve worked for St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in New York, which is regarded as one of Long Island’s premier rehabilitation hospitals.  Steve gained valuable experience working hand in hand with physiatrist, neurologist, and orthopedic surgeons.  At St. Charles Hospital,  Steve treated a wide spectrum of patients, from orthopedic patients recovering from joint replacements and bone fractures, to neurological patients who have experienced stroke and spinal cord injuries.  The great weather and endless outdoor activities have brought Steve to Arizona and his expertise to Rehab Plus Phoenix office.

Steve also is the Clinical Instructor for all physical therapy students doing clinical rotations at Rehab Plus and has a passion for imparting “real world” clinical skills on all of his students.

Steve is an avid snow boarder who keeps himself in great shape year round.

Chad Dunn

Peformance Exercise Specialist (PES), CES, Director of Programming, Director of Media Relations
Chad attended Arizona State University majoring in Exercise Science.  Chad serves a multitude of jobs at Rehab Plus and is fluent in Spanish. Chad has vast experience in providing exercise protocols to our patients, post-rehab exercise programs, personal training, and sports performance training.

Chad is the main coordinator of our sports camps and sports charitable programs, including work with Phoenix Suns charitable youth programs.  He has extensive experience in orthopedics and strength and condition, working with all ages and sports.

Chad is the director of marketing for Rehab Plus and heads up all social media efforts.

Growing up, Chad competed nationally in BMX racing and also wrestled and played football.  Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.  He has an amazing ability to relate to people of all walks of life and shows through his success with improving the health of our clients.

Dan Herrle

Dan joined our staff shortly after completing an undergraduate internship with us in January 2013.   Dan basically made himself invaluable to us with his work ethic, ability to pick things up quickly, and his great communication skills with both patients and staff.

Dan can seamlessly work between corrective exercise instruction in the physical therapy department to on field coaching in the sports performance arena.  Dan is a team player and we are very pleased and excited he is part of our team.

Dan played collegiate baseball and is particularly well versed in all training aspects involving baseball performance.

Ethan Banning

Ethan is a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)  and an active member of the CSCCa, NSCA. His area of expertise is in Strength and Conditioning with an emphasis on Athletic Development and Injury Prevention. Ethan has a great reputation for his work  in the Performance Training field.

Ethan has served as Director of Sports Performance,  Strength Consultant to the MLB Office of the Commissioner, and spent five years coaching football collegiately. Ethan was a football walk-on turned team captain at Eastern Illinois University. After a “cup of coffee” with the NFL, Ethan went on to play Arena football for 8 years winning 2 World Titles.

Ethan had his first paying client at 16 and is in his 24th year as a Sports Performance Specialist with clients that range from NFL all pros to Collegiate All-Americans, Olympic Gold Medalists, MLB all stars, High School athletes, Housewives, and many others.

Seth Robinson

PTA, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Seth came to Rehab Plus last year as a student completing clinical hours for his Associates of Science as a PTA.  Before deciding to become a PTA, Seth served 8 years active duty in the United States Air Force. During Seth’s service in the military, he served as an augmentee for the military police for a year after 9/11 and the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, he served as a cable maintenance journeyman, a recruiter for the Air Force, a proud member of the Air Force base softball team and was invited to try out for the United States Air Force softball team.  After living in South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, and Arizona, he separated from the military and settled in Arizona with his wife and four kids.

Seth chose the PTA profession because he wanted to have a career where he could make a contribution to society.  “I felt blessed when Rehab Plus extended an offer to work there because the staff and ownership are one of a kind. The wealth of knowledge and passion for rehabilitation is second to none.  I wanted to not only be a part of that but to surround myself around others who will make me a better therapist.”

Hal Wyatt

Hal serves as Rehab Plus’ Director of Athletic Training.  Presently Hal is the athleticTrainer at St Mary’s High School in Phoenix where he coordinates all athletes medical care.  Hal has an extensive and storied career in athletic training.  He has worked with thousands of well known athletes, among them Pele and Mickey Mantle.  

Hal was the head athletic trainer for the San Francisco 49ers, winning a Super Bowl Ring in 1982, Hal served as the Head Athletic trainer for the Arizona Wranglers/ Outlaws in the USFL before moving into the private sector.  

Hal brings great experence and knowledge to his position and has been honored by the San Francisco 49ers for his contributions to their organization.

Kas Gonzales

Kas has over 30 years of practical experience in the physical therapy realm.  Kas practices at such a high level of competence, client’s satisfaction with her skill is evident when they request her upon their return to the clinic.  Kas graduated in 1985 from Texas Woman’s University, Houston Campus, School of Physical Therapy following a B.S. in Psychology from Lamar University in 1982 where she competed in water skiing at the collegiate level.  She moved to Phoenix in 1992 to open a back clinic for JCL Hospital and her own private practice, Searle Spine & Physical Therapy.  Kas currently provides on call coverage at Rehab Plus and has been doing so since 2002, specializing in soft tissue mobilization.   Kas is highly regarded in the physical therapy industry for her manual skills and has an established following because of them.

We are really pleased to have Kristi Hintze join our Rehab Plus family as Director of First Impressions.  Kristi graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development in 2013.  She attended St. Mary’s High School here in Phoenix and currently lives in the Arcadia area.  She is very creative and outgoing so we are looking forward to seeing her apply some of those awesome skills in our marketing efforts.
